There is no exact process or definition as to what your therapy process will be like. However, it is in all modes of therapy that you shall establish goals of what you seek from therapy and determine the steps you will take in order to get there.
Therapy enhances our coping in the face of new stress and helps in navigating the rough waters of our past or present that affect our growth and personality today.
Resilience isn’t something you have or don’t have, it is something you can cultivate and enhance. Turns out all human beings are resilient. We hide our suffering behind a facade of battling through, and exhaust and drain ourselves to keep up, struggling in silence until we eventually end up in a doctors waiting room.
Why finish all our resources and not expand our minds? Counselling is oftentimes confused with teaching or guidance, though there is a vast difference between the two.
